Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

I can see the issue - can you tell me if you were able to find "Read More" string within WPML -> String Translation and translate it there?
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

Also, can you tell me the exact name of this WPBakery Page Builder element you are using, is it the plugin default, or perhaps a custom one added by the theme?

Regards,
Bruno Kos

Hello,

I was able to translate read more mostly via string, but this read more on the start page was not translated.
I use Bridge Theme and the element is called "Blog Masonry".
I can also send you the access data.

Best regards
Birgit

Hi,

I've checked inside and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this at this point. Let me explain why.

- this shortcode is not Bakery element, but is coming from the theme
- the code is stored here: /themes/bridge/includes/shortcodes/shortcode-elements/masonry-blog.php
- on the line 117, there is this code:

$html .= '<div class="post_more"> <a href="' . get_permalink() . '" class="qbutton small">Read More</a></div>';

This means that theme developers forgot to set a text domain for this string, hence it is not being picked up by WPML. I can see that they did it for other strings on that file, though.
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/translating-the-theme-you-created/

In a nutshell, can you reach out their support and ask them to update this and possibly release in future versions of the theme? They simply need to internationalize this string as it will not work with other multilingual plugins most likely as well.

Bruno Kos
