This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

Is it possible to translate the custom permalink from Settings -> Permalinks.

Solution:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to translate the custom permalink that way that you have created it. But you can set up a custom post type and have that custom slug (/clunky/) in front of your posts. Then you would be able to translate it in WPML -> Post Type Translation.

Hi.

I've discussed this issue with our second tier supporters. Unfortunately, it is not possible to translate the custom permalink that way that you have created it. But you can set up a custom post type and have that custom slug (/clunky/) in front of your posts. Then you would be able to translate it in WPML -> Post Type Translation.
More about creating a custom post type in WordPress documentation here.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this issue.

Regards,
Itamar.

Ok, I see. It's a shame that's not possible but I understand. Thanks a lot!
