Dear Carme,

You can set original language of Strings to English from wpml -> string translation, Scroll down to original language of strings box, set English and click Scan and resave strings button.

By this way original language will set to English and you are able to translate strings to Catalan.

Hi Harshad,
thanks !
I set up the original language of strings in english and I save options and rescan strings.
But I can't not see where or how to translate the strings.
I need to translate the comment form from Posts, where is that??
The only strings I can see are: Widget tittle, WP tagline and blog title.

Sorry to insist but I think I need more help

thanks,
Carme

Dear Carme,

Please go to wpml -> theme's and plugins localization, Enable "Translate by WPML" option.

Then click Scan theme for strings button.

Go to wpml -> string translation, check if you now see the comment form strings.

What version of WPML have you installed?

March 16, 2013 at 2:53 pm #112136

Carme

Version 2.7.1
But before I have used different versions and I have never seen the theme's and plugins localization 🙁

Carme

no no, you are right. I checked in my older sites and is there.
It seems the problem is the version! this is the last one from your site

Can you please enable a PHP error log file and check what's there?

From this page:
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

Edit your wp-config.php file and add these lines, just before it says 'stop editing here':

ini_set('log_errors',TRUE);
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL);
ini_set('error_log', dirname(__FILE__) . 'https://cdn.wpml.org/error_log.txt');

This will create an error_log.txt file in your site's root directory. Let's see what it includes.

March 16, 2013 at 3:13 pm #112144

Carme

I , I deleted the previous ones and I installed the previous versions, but the problem is still there:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/karmebac/public_html/veter/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/menu/menus-sync.php on line 125

Then, what I have to do?

you tell me two different things:

1 ) Can you please enable a PHP error log file and check what's there?

From this page:
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

2 ) Edit your wp-config.php file and add these lines, just before it says 'stop editing here':

ini_set('log_errors',TRUE);
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL);
ini_set('error_log', dirname(__FILE__) . 'https://cdn.wpml.org/error_log.txt');

having seeing my warning, do I still need to do that?
