Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

1. Can you please let me know what plugin do you use for adding the form there? We have a great WPML add-on if you are using the "Mailchimp for WordPress" plugin.

Here you can find more about that:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/mailchimp-for-wordpress-multilingual/

2. Can you please let me know what are the exact steps you've taken when you translated the subscription form?

3. In order to be able to help you faster, can you also please paste your WPML Debug information in the Debug information field?
http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

4. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi.

If the form is generated through a widget, things are even more simple.

This should help you accomplish what you need faster than it would be if you would go with a different method:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/displaying-different-widgets-for-different-languages/

This way, you just display the right form in the right language and you have full control over the translations.

Please let me know if this solved your issue or if you still need help. 🙂

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai

Hi Mihai

I need some more explanation: every time i set the widget in the right language, it only shows op in one translation, and not on the others. Already set to show on all languages, but than widget is visible, but not in the right language. It shows the same language in every translation... I must be missing something...
Sorry...

Kind regards

Hi Kathleen.

No worries. So let's see: at the moment, I'm seeing only one widget that exists.

My recommendation was that you set that current widget to display in the default language and that you simply add new ones for each language version so that you can translate them however you want and set it at the bottom to display in the language you want.

So I created 2 more widgets and each of them is now set to display in a specific language (for French, I left the same French content that was already present in the existing widget.

Here you can see a screenshot of what I mean: hidden link

Also, I am attaching in this ticket 2 screenshots of how things look on the site right now so it seems that it is working.

Please let me know if this solved your issue or if you still need help. 🙂

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai
