I'm trying to translate the text within the divi carousel plugin. I can't seem to get it to come up and to be able to add it to the translation basket. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

From what I can see, the "Divi Carousel" plugin is not part of our official WPML-compatible plugins repository here (

Also, I was not able to find any documentation on their site regarding the plugin translation.

First of all, I'd suggest you contact the plugin authors and recommend them to join our 'Go Global' program ( where our Compatibility developers will help them make their plugin 100% compatible with WPML for free.

Second, the only thing that we could do going forward would be to set up a sandbox environment (clean install where we would have just the WPML plugins installed, the theme that you use and the "Divi Carousel" plugin) and have you recreate the issue on our servers, too.

After you do that and I can confirm the same thing happens on our sandbox environment, I can also forward this issue to our Compatibility team so that they can have a deeper look.

Would this be something of interest for you?

Please let me know.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi Mihai,

That sounds good! I'm not sure how to set up this environment. But I'm sure you can walk me through it!

All the best,

Also while we're waiting to do this, is there any way for us manually to go in and add the translation? We speak Spanish and translate ourselves. I'm just a little worried about the time as our site is currently live and will be going out to clients within the week.

Hi Heather.

I was not able to see the code in the backend for the moment to see if there is a manual way we can use to translate it.

For that, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
