This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: Translated images don't always show up in media library and posts

Solution: The issue was only happening with different domains per language and the image wasn't loaded properly with the additional domains, contacting the hosting provider solved the issue.

Hello Shekhar, I saw that there was still a problem left, namely with the Dutch URL "" which gave an error message when trying to access it. I contacted Siteground support again, and now everything looks OK.

Yes, it looks like the images are also showing properly in the media library, if the issue is resolved, you can mark this ticket as resolved.

I didn't notice immediately that the issue with the images was solved too (in addition to the problem with the staging site). Siteground solved some issues with my parked domains and the servers they are pointing to, but seemingly that also solved the media problem. So, yes, the problem is solved. Thanks for all your suggestions and help.
