This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues with translated portfolio pages on your website, where photos disappear, and the arrangement shows incorrect language text. This problem started after recent edits to the portfolios.
Solution:
We recommend adding a custom XML configuration to your WPML settings to ensure that all necessary attributes are correctly translated. Here is the XML code you should add:

<wpml-config>
<shortcodes>
<shortcode>
<tag>norebro_heading</tag>
<attributes>
<attribute encoding="base64">title</attribute>
<attribute encoding="base64">subtitle</attribute>
</attributes>
</shortcode>
<shortcode>
<tag>norebro_text</tag>
</shortcode>
</shortcodes>
</wpml-config>

This configuration should help in translating the subtitle and other text elements correctly. If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thanks for your reply. May I know why you are using the WordPress Editor? That's the manual translation, and if you switch back to WPML Translation Editor, you'll have to retranslate the contents again.

Referring to the English language homepage, are you saying that manually saving the translations on this page hidden link is not possible?

1.

I translate this page manually, through WP redaktor, because there are different pictures. Because the pictures have text that should match the languages. For this reason I use different files. You told me that with different content I should build the translation like this.

"""2. I translated this portfolio with the WPLM translator. The translated verse is not loading.

This one doesn't load either

I built these translations using the WPML editor. Here it is

Thanks for your reply.

1. I understand now. If your goal is to translate the image itself, the correct method is to use the Media Translation add-on https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/

Since you’ve switched to manual translation, you can continue that way. I checked your English backend editor here hidden link
. Are you able to change the image there?

2. About the translated pages not loading, I see some console errors on the loading screen(attached screenshot). Could you check with the theme author if they know the cause?

Thanks for your reply. I've been instructed to split the ticket for the image translation issue. Here is the ticket https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translating-images-in-custom-post-type/ , and let's follow up over there.

As for this ticket, are you still having issues translating your portfolio pages?

There are more questions about translating with the WP translator. The made page that showed in a previous post again lost the translated text.

Look at the button text and the last image.

Why aren't these types of translations saved forever, but disappear after a few hours?

Thanks for your reply. I can see the issue on the page revision. Not sure what's triggering the change but I've just made the changes for you and ran some troubleshooting options here hidden link and could you let me know if the issue is still there?

Question related to the translation editor

On some pages I make a carousel with portfolios that are selected through the filter categories. In the original version everything is fine, but in the translation they break. Can you take a look at how I can translate them so they work?
Categories are in one language only

Thanks for your reply. I've configured the translation option in WPML > Settings > Taxonomies Translation > configured "norebro_portfolio_category" and "norebro_portfolio_tags" to Translatable -use translation if available or fallback to default language and it shows up fine now.
