Hello,

I'm currently using WooCommerce for my eCommerce store, and would like to easily have my translators quickly translate product pages, which include product content, categories, attributes images, and stock counts all within the same page.

When I sent over the translation bucket over to my Portuguese translator, she was able to translate content, but was not able to translate attributes, categories, images and stock counts. As an admin, I was able to translate them on my own (however, we want to avoid that), but the product page showed a lot of empty missing parts on the Portuguese translation (see example below: hidden link) The image is missing and the colors are missing. Why is that?

Note: The admin will not be translating any pages, but there will be multiple users that will be translating these products into multiple languages, such as Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Spanish, etc.

Let me know if you can help us! Thank you!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

1.- I would like to ask you to visit this link where you will find our official documentation on how to translate the taxonomies: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-post-categories-and-custom-taxonomies/

Also, I kindly ask you to follow this steps:
- Back up your site first before making any change, this is for security reasons.
- Go to Woocoomerce -> Woocoomerce Multilingual -> Settings tab -> Troubleshooting link (bottom right) -> Sync all products.

Could you tell me the result of the steps above?

2.- Please increase the PHP Memory Limit. Minimum requirements are 128Mb: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory:

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

- Add it above the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I'm still confused by translating other items within a product page. I was unable to sync this information, and images are still not appearing on the product page, as well as the colors and stock count. Is that all housed under taxonomies or something else?

Hi,
Thank you very much for your message.

The translators should be able to translate the content within the products but the taxonomies are translated differently and will be synchronize once the product is translated and saved. The same happens with the price of the products and the images.

To translate the images you should follow the steps described in this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/

And for the products translation in general I kindly ask you to visit this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/

Regards,
Carlos
