This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with their translated page where the company logo does not show, the menu item formatting from the original page is not maintained, and they cannot add a language switcher to the menu as it is greyed out. Automatic Media Translation is enabled, and menu synchronization does not find any synchronized menus.
Solution:
We recommend creating a staging site to safely replicate and address these issues without affecting the live site. You can use the WP Staging plugin, which is free and user-friendly. Once the staging site is set up, please share the URL to edit the header in the original language, and we will use the credentials from your other ticket to assist further.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If these steps do not resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Original page seen in: Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 073346.png

The header shows a translated menu on the translated page, but

1) does not show the company logo (Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 073346.png).
2) Formatting the menu item original page
3) I cannot add a language switcher to the menu as it is greyed out (Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 073346.png)

Automatic Media Translation is switched on
Menu synchronisation does not find any synchronised menu's

Probably this issue is closely related to this issue:

Hello again,

In your previous ticket, I asked for the URL to edit the footer and the access credentials to the site.

In this ticket, I kindly ask you to share the URL to edit the header in the original language. I will use the credentials from the other ticket.

Looking forward to your message.
Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Many thanks for offering your support.

Direct access to my WordPress server is unfortunately not a realistic option. It is part of a has zero trust network solution. Hence it would probably take more effort to get access and than resolving the issue.

I way to work around it could be to provide you a copy of the entire site so you can edit in 'local' or a development server.

If you can direct me how to resolve these issues I most likely be able to do it myself. However currently the architecture of WPML is unkown to me so I do not have a clue yet where it gets stuck.

Kind regards,

Frits

Hi Frits,
Thank you very much for your message.

I understand the 'zero trust network' policy; however, is it possible for you to create a staging site with a copy of the live site where we can access together, reproduce the issue, and find a solution?

To create a staging site, you can use the WP Staging plugin. It is free and easy to use 🙂

Looking forward to your message.
