Hello,

I have just purchased WPML and I would like to use it with Elementor page builder.
Just after installation I got message:

"There is a problem with the String Translation table in your site. This problem is not causing a problem running the site right now, but can become a critical issue in the future. WPML support team knows how to fix it. Please add a message in the relevant support thread and we'll fix it for you."

I have followed instruction and inserted to my functions.php following code:

function wpml_fix_missing_icl_tables() {
    if( function_exists( 'icl_sitepress_activate' ) )
        icl_sitepress_activate();
}
add_action( 'wp_footer', 'wpml_fix_missing_icl_tables' );

But the message didn’t disappear.

Now when I am trying to translate page I am not able to open "Translation editor". Only think what I can see is Translations queue.
It looks there is something wrong.
Can you help me with this?

thank you
Ivan

Hello,

Where did you see the instructions regarding the function you have provided above.

that function is meant to be used in case your tables are missing.

Also regarding your translation editor.

If you go to Pages->Click on "+" to translate a page, what are your results ?
- you are taken to the "translations " page ?

I will need to take a closer look as the notice you receiving for the icl strings tables needs to be checked.

**Before we proceed I recommend to please take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website.**
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose See: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Thank you for the access details !

The batch_id field was missing from the wp_icl_translation_status DB table.

I have added it and its working as expected now.
