This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with the translation queue not loading and errors when editing translations. The theme used was not compatible with the site editor, and there were layout problems on the English homepage. Additionally, the client could not translate certain parts of the site using the Divi Events Calendar module. Solution: We recommended increasing the WP MEMORY LIMIT to at least 256M, as the existing setting was too low and could cause issues. We updated the WPML String Translation to the latest version and adjusted the database entries that were 'stuck'. We also cleared old translation packages and re-sent the Gravity Forms for translation. For the issue with the Divi Events Calendar module, we suggested opening a new support ticket as it required further investigation. We also recommended checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/ and verifying the version of the permanent fix, confirming that the latest versions of themes and plugins are installed.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for personalized assistance. Please visit our support forum at WPML Support Forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
This issue has been raised to our second tier to further investigate as I can only reproduce on the live site but not in other instances such as staging.
Once I have feedback, I will update you here.
At the moment you should be able to move forward with translations by manually going to Pages or Posts , finding the page/post you need to translate and accessing it by clicking on the + icon or pencil icon.
There are some layout problems as well.
It is on the english home page. See images.
But it is weird, because it is only on the english translated home page. not with the other languages.
- Adjusted the database entry IDs that were 'stuck'
- WPML->Translation packages->cleared the old packages
- Re send the Gravity Forms to translation
At the moment it looks like it's working OK.
Please test and let me know your results.
Regarding the layout issue, if possible let's verify that the issue on hand is resolved and we can split it into it's own ticket to keep everything organized per our support guidelines.
Thank you so much.
Yes, everything seems to be working.
1 question: hidden link
i cannot seem to translate the agenda part on all the pages.
it is a module form the Divi Events Calander from Peeayecreative.
hidden link
And i have the agenda template customized in the Divi Builder.
but also on the normal pages 'opleiding' and ' training' this module is not translatable.
I was able to take a quick look at the events calendar issue and it looks like even though the events are translated the strings are not.
As this will require further investigation, if possible, please open a new thread and our team will be able to further investigate.
Notice in the screenshot below, the default strings from events calendar pro are translated but the ones on the sidebar are not.
Also, review this page as there are a few open known issues between WPML and Events Calendar Pro that our team is working on resolving. (most of them have a workaround)
