[Resolved] Translation text mixing and some strings not appearing for translation
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing issues with string translations in WPML where translated content is incorrectly displayed across different language versions of the site. Specifically, some content translated into Amharic is appearing on the English site, and some strings are not appearing in the translated language as expected. Solution: First, we recommend verifying the source of the strings. If the strings are generated by a plugin, identify which plugin is responsible. This is crucial as the string might be coming from a different plugin than expected.
Second, if the templates were duplicated using WPML, it's important to ensure that they are set to 'Translate independently'. This can be done by opening the translated template, clicking on 'Edit', and selecting 'Translate independently'. This step prevents the original template settings from overwriting the translated content.
If these steps do not resolve the issue or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hi there!
This is Paola and I hope you are well!
It’s possible that the string you translated is coming from a different plugin. Could you please share a specific page where I can see the issue?
Also, could you clarify whether this text is generated directly by a plugin or if it’s something you’ve added manually in the backend? If it comes from a plugin, please let me know which one you’re using.

For example, I can see that the templates were duplicated using WPML. Because of this, please make sure to open the translated template, click on “Edit”, and then select “Translate independently”. Otherwise, any changes or texts may continue to be overwritten from the original template.
