When trying to edit a translation job that has a status of "Complete - (needs update)" with the Translation editor, the translated fields are blank. Is this by design or something wrong? The frontend site is still showing the correct translation so the translation is there somewhere...

Hello Niklas,

Could you please take a screenshot of what you see as we all provide the plugin versions of WPML and its active add-ons with your next reply?

Thank you.

Niklas,

Thank you for getting back to me.

It would be good that you first update your WPML and WPML add-ons to their latest versions. Can you do this please?

You can check the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on this site. Instructions to update can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#2

Only backup your database first before you proceed! You can use a plugin for this if you like (search for WordPress backup plugins)

Let me know if the issue persists even after the update.

Thank you.

OK, but the ones I can see on the Download site are the latest ones? The Installer plugin do not discover any new updates either. Is there some plugin version in particular you noticed that was out of date?

Niklas,

You are using WPML Multilingual CMS 2.6.0 but the latest is 2.8.2
Also you are using WPML String Translation 1.5.1 however the latest is 1.7.1

Hmm, must have attached the wrong screenshot. Here's the current one anyway. These ones seem to be the latest.

User setup for you. Did you receive the emial with login details?

June 12, 2013 at 4:21 pm #135312

Niklas

In the process of securing the installation (we've had brute force login attempts for quite some time), we used the Better WP Security plugin. One of the functions is to remove the admin account (ID=0). I've seen that this prohibits some translations, but for the ones I'm trying that should not be an issue since I get to the translation screen .

Hi,
I took a var_dump of the $job variable in translation-editor.php for a sample post and this is the result. It seems that there is no translation for the current version, but there is one for the previous version?

I've gone through the above post by copying and pasting from the public facing post and now it seems to not need any updates. There are quite a lot remaining posts that are translated, but appear blank in the admin pages...
