This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
1. The Cart page and upsell section are not translated in German, French, Lithuanian, and Portuguese despite being marked as fully translated in WPML.
2. Custom glossary terms are not respected in various site locations such as headers, footers, and category names.

Solution:
For Issue 1:
- Confirm no missing setup warnings in WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency → Status.
- Ensure WooCommerce pages and endpoints are correctly translated in WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency → Store URLs.
- If using WooCommerce Cart/Checkout blocks, enable 'Detect strings in JavaScript files', scan WooCommerce, and translate strings from WPML → Translation Dashboard → Other texts (Strings). For more information, visit https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/how-to-translate-woocommerce/.
- Resend the Cart page for translation for affected languages and save the translation again.

For Issue 2:
- Update glossary entries to ensure they are respected across the site by clicking the Update button on the glossaries page. For details, visit https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/#updating-translations.

Subject: Two translation issues – (1) Cart page and upsell section not translated in 4 languages despite "complete" status, (2) glossary terms not respected in some locations

Hello,

We have managed to translate almost the entire site, but two problems remain that we cannot solve. I have created a new staging site so you can look inside – I'm providing the access details separately.

=== ENVIRONMENT ===
- WordPress + WooCommerce
- Elementor + Elementor Pro
- WPML Multilingual CMS + String Translation + WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce
- Source language: Polish. Target languages: EN, DE, FR, ES, SK, UK, HU, CS, LT, PT
- Cache: LiteSpeed Cache
- Translation engine: DeepL (automatic translation)

========================================
ISSUE 1: Cart page + upsell section not translated in 4 languages
========================================

The Cart page and the "upsell" section below it (recommended products) are not translated in four languages:
- German (de)
- French (fr)
- Lithuanian (lt)
- Portuguese (pt-pt)

In the other languages (EN, ES, SK, UK, HU, CS) the Cart is translated correctly. Only in these 4 languages does the Cart page display in Polish.

Important:
- In the WPML Translation Management dashboard, the Cart page is marked as FULLY TRANSLATED for all languages, including these 4.
- We tried to override / re-translate the translations for these 4 languages – it did not help.

So WPML claims the translation exists and is complete, but on the front-end in these 4 languages we see the Polish version of the Cart and the upsell section.

WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY TRIED (Issue 1):
1. Re-sending the Cart page for translation in these 4 languages.
2. Overriding the existing translations.

Questions:
- Why does the Cart page display in Polish in DE/FR/LT/PT, when WPML shows it as fully translated and the other languages work correctly?
- Why does this affect only these 4 specific languages?

========================================
ISSUE 2: Glossary terms not respected in some locations
========================================

I added custom terms to the WPML glossary that were supposed to be kept untranslated (or translated in a strictly defined way) across all languages:

- "AquaBoxy" – should remain as "AquaBoxy" in all languages.
- "Kwiatomaty" – should be translated to a fixed term (e.g. "Flower Vending Machine" in English).
- "Koszyk" - should be translated to a fixed term (e.g. "Cart in English), now its called Basket.

Problem: in many languages these terms are NOT taken from the glossary. In various places – in category names, in the header, and in the footer – they were translated automatically "in their own way" instead of following the glossary definition.

So the glossary works partially, but in some locations (header, footer, categories) it is ignored and the terms are translated inconsistently with what I configured.

Questions:
- Why are the glossary terms not respected in all locations (header, footer, category names)?
- Does the glossary apply only to content translated via a specific method (e.g. the Advanced Translation Editor), and not to all content types? If so – how can I ensure these terms are applied consistently everywhere?
- After adding/changing a term in the glossary, do I need to re-translate previously translated content for the glossary to take effect?

ADDITIONAL INFO
========================================
I created a new staging site with the current state of the site – you can safely check both issues there. I'm providing the access details (admin URL, login, password) in a separate, secured field.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. For Issue 1, I will need to check the staging site directly because the Cart page is marked as complete in WPML but still shows Polish only in specific languages.

I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

For now, what I can suggest:

Go to WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency → Status

and confirm there are no missing setup warnings. Also check:

WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency → Store URLs

and make sure the WooCommerce pages and endpoints are translated correctly.

If the Cart page uses WooCommerce Cart/Checkout blocks, please also follow the steps for translating WooCommerce block strings:
- enable Detect strings in JavaScript files
- scan WooCommerce, then translate the strings from WPML → Translation Dashboard → Other texts (Strings).

For more information:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/how-to-translate-woocommerce/

For Issue 2, the glossary affects automatic translation in the Advanced Translation Editor. It does not automatically update all already-translated content everywhere on the site, and it may not affect strings/categories/header/footer if those were translated separately, for example via String Translation, taxonomy translation, menus, widgets, or theme options.

You will need to click the Update button on the glossaries page to force WPML to look for the instances:

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/#updating-translations

Thanks.

Hello and thank you for th login information. Please watch this video:

Video Summary

- I fixed the German version by sending the card page for translation again.
- I tested the same process with French, where the section was also not showing correctly.
- I sent the French version from WPML → Translation Dashboard using Translate myself.
- Since the translation was already 100%, I only opened it and clicked Save and complete.
- After refreshing the frontend, the French section displayed correctly.
- Please repeat the same process for any other affected languages.

Thank.
