Our translations are ready but they have not been retrieved automatically, furthermore the manual retrieval process stops after a while of counting down. When refreshed a while later the number has been reset.

Hi there,

I will help you with your issue.

I would like to request temporary access to your site.

Please clarify the translation service used in your site.

The detailed documentation of the available translation services can be obtained from this link https://wpml.org/translation-service/

It would be good if you can provide me with the WordPress debug.log (not WPML debug information).

To enable it, open your wp-config.php file and look for define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);. Change it to:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

In this case, the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory.

If you can paste your debug.log to pastebin.com and provide me that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess in the discussion).

Kind regards
Raja

Hi there,

I have checked the status of the jobs from WPML > Translation Management using "Check status and get translations" button, The status returned no Jobs completed (check the attached screenshot).

I have checked the communication logs there is nothing odd everything seems to be fine.

Please share a screenshot from lionsbride showing the complete translation along with the translation id and the title of the translation.

Hi,

This is Ahmed Ibrahim from the TP integration team, I have checked your jobs, and as I can see in the WPML -> Translation Management -> Translation Jobs, that your jobs have the state "Needs update" which means that you have updated the original document after sending the jobs and before receiving the translation, so WPML automatically treat the old jobs as out of date and cancel the jobs.

Our developers are working to enhance this behaviour, the first thing they will display a message to warn you before editing the document, and will give you the option to make any minor updates like fixing a typo or something like that.

For now, the only solution will be to send these jobs again to the translation service, then ask the TS to use the translation memory to re-translate without extra cost, then re-deliver the content to your site.

Please don't make any changes to the document once you send it till you get the translation.

Please let me know if that works for you.
Best regards.

This is unacceptable, this means that we can't work on an update to a page without losing our translation jobs. It is also unacceptable the jobs just get cancelled with no notification.
How would this process work with a continuous publishing solution where the loc pages are a week or two after the EN version?
