Background of the issue:
I am trying to review my English pages on my WordPress site, which also has Spanish pages managed with WPML. I accessed the page list through the URL hidden link.

Symptoms:
I see 'English (507)' pages listed, but only '486 items' are displayed (1 of 25 pages).

Questions:
How come I can't view all 'English (507)' pages and only see '486 items'?
What pages are missing and how can I review them?

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

This issue typically occurs when the language information for existing pages is not correctly set in the database. Please follow the steps below to try and resolve the issue:
1. Create a full site backup before proceeding, just to be safe.
2. Ensure your site meets WPML’s minimum requirements:
https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
3. Go to WPML → Support → Troubleshooting and run the following options (one by one):

• Clear the cache in WPML
• Synchronize posts taxonomies
• Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
• Assign translation status to duplicated content
• Fix post type assignment for translations
• Set language information

4. Clear all types of cache: browser cache, site/server cache, plugin cache, and any CDN cache if in use.

Please let me know if these steps resolve the issue or if you need further assistance.

I tried these steps and and they didn't fix the issue (the pages discrepancy still exists). What else can I do?

Thank you for your feedback.

Could you please try temporarily disabling WPML to check whether the correct total amount displays for both languages?

Also, try the opposite: keep WPML activated and temporarily disable all other plugins. If possible, test with a default theme as well.

Please let me know the results of both tests.

Don’t forget to take a full backup before making any changes.

I only did this on our test site:
Could you please try temporarily disabling WPML to check whether the correct total amount displays for both languages?

Now the the "All (869)" posts number on the left matches the "869 items" posts number on the right and there's no discrepancy in numbers (see screenshot attached)

What's your best guess of why this happened, like why there's no discrepancy in page numbers when I disabled the WPML plugins, yet the discrepancy returns when I enabled the WPML plugins?

Thank you for your feedback.

I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site—preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible—in order to be of better help. When you log in to leave your next reply, you will find the needed fields below the comment area. The information you will enter is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

Andrey, I gave you WP Admin access in a private message to a test site and still need help.

I have tried a few times to reach your site, but it says the following:

Your access to this site has been limited by the site owner

I tested from a few different countries using a VPN, but the results were the same. Please let me know how I can access it.

Unfortunately I don't know how you can access this site. Can you give me your best guess why this issue occurs below?

I see 'English (507)' pages listed, but only '486 items' are displayed (1 of 25 pages).

Let me upload the screenshot to show what I see. I also noticed "Generated by Wordfence". Maybe you can temporarily deactivate that plugin?

Andrey, I can't disable that plugin. From all the data you know, what are common causes of the issue below:

I see 'English (507)' pages listed, but only '486 items' are displayed (1 of 25 pages).

That's all I need to know. Sorry that you are having website issues on your end.

My best guess is that the language information is missing from the database for those pages, which is why they're not displayed. Running the troubleshooting options as I suggested earlier should resolve this issue. If this is not the case, as you mentioned, you need to try locating the pages and possibly resaving them with WPML enabled. Otherwise, look into the database to compare the information and check the pages there.

Andrey, thanks for the info.

And if there someone else at WPML I can talk to in this ticket who is based out of Western Europe, North America, or South America? That person should be able to log into our test website and give us more info.

Unfortunately our Wordfence plugin blocks people from certain parts of the world including Ukraine.

Thank you for your feedback.

Finally, I was able to connect to the site using VPN. Could you please install the Adminer plugin so I can review the database entries?

Let me also know if I can do some tests on your staging site.
