This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with product variations not working correctly on the Danish version of their WordPress site using WPML. The issue is specifically with the "&" characters in the product attributes.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Ensure you have a full backup of your website.
2. Delete the existing translation of the product by navigating to the products tab, switching languages in the top bar, finding the translation, sending it to the trash, and then permanently deleting it from the trash.
3. Go to WPML > Settings > Translation Editor and select "Classic Translation Editor" as the "Editor for new translations".
4. Recreate the translation of the product using the Classic Translation Editor.
After these steps, you should see the issue resolved. You can switch back to the latest translation editor in the settings if desired, applying the Classic Editor only for this specific product.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hey there Cornelius,

Thank you for waiting. It took us some time to figure out what the issue was. We found out that the issue is happening because of the "&" characters in the product attributes. While we look for a solution, I can offer you a workaround. Please make sure to have a full website backup before proceeding.

To solve the issue, you can recreate the translation of the product using the Classic Translation Editor. Follow the steps below:

1. Completely delete the translation of the product. To do that, go to the products tab, switch languages in the top bar, find the translation and send it to the trash. Finally, completely remove it by deleting it from the trash can (mandatory);
2. Go to WPML > Settings > Translation Editor and select "Classic Translation Editor" for "Editor for new translations". Check the image;
3. Recreate the translation of the product using the classic editor;

That should solve the issue for the meantime. Let me know your results. You can optionally switch back to the latest translation editor, in settings, if you wish. This way, only this specific product will use the classic one.
