Our version is quite outdated (v4.0.3) and we are talking about jumping 8 versions ahead to v4.2.7.1. Please let us know simply replacing the following folders under /wp-content/plugins would cause any glitches:

/sitepress-multilingual-cms
/wpml-media-translation
/wpml-string-translation
/wpml-translation-management

Also, what tests should we run to make sure the update is 100% successful?

Hi There,

I recommend reviewing your environment and making sure that WordPress and your theme along with crucial 3rd party plugins are updated as well

also it would be good if you are running PHP Version 7.3 or higher and MySQL Version 5.6 or higher

Before making the update please make sure you have taken a full backup of your site and database.

updating the plugins to the latest versions should not cause any adverse reactions such as fatal errors , etc but as this depends on every different environment it is a good idea to have a full backup in place.

once done please let me know your results , there are no specific tests other than making sure your translations, and front end are working well

here you can also find the changes made in the WPML main plugin from your version to the current

/wpml-string-translation
/wpml-translation-management

Our production website is hidden link due to security reasons, we disabled its login page, what we work on is hidden link which is BEHIND the firewall. How can we register automatic update? I keep getting error messages.

Hello,

as a test please remove your current key for the staging site and re create it using the following steps

go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/ there you should be able to see your site registered (unless u never register your site before)

then click on the little trash icon

and follow the steps shown in the video hidden link

Additionally you might have to whitelist the following servers

We don't want to turn on auto update for our production site, how do we get notified when a new version becomes available? If you can use email to inform us, can we add additional email address of our web developer?

You can simply register your site with WPML then you will be notified within WPML.

your plugins will have a notification right underneath them, and this will allow you to see that there is an update available which is the standard for all WordPress plugins

We don't work on Production site, we only work on our staging site which is behind the firewall and WPML servers can't see it. so you think it will work if we register and put in the site key?

Due to the firewall i dont believe it will work unless the following are whitelisted on your dev environment

<em><u>hidden link</u></em>
<em><u>hidden link</u></em>
<em><u>hidden link</u></em>
<em><u>hidden link</u></em>

otherwise any new update will be released here along with its changelog but it will require a manual check https://wpml.org/downloads/

At the moment outside the scope of WP admin there are no email notifications , unless they are for a major update.

Is ACF Multilingual compatible with WordPress 5.2.2? See screenshot below (it says unknown).
