Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

Sorry for this inconvenience.

We have just released a new bugfix version. Please see here the issues that it resolves: https://wpml.org/2019/02/wpml-4-2-1-with-stability-improvements-and-bug-fixes/

If you have an issue updating, please manually update WPML as described here - https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#first-install

Let me know how that goes.

Kind regards,

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Frankly I'm lost.

It doesn't work. For instance I have already installed "wpml-media-translation" version 2.4.1, when I try to install the new version 2.5.0 wordpress tells me that the file already exist.

What to do please ?

Thanks

Hi.

I totally understand where you are at the moment.

So what you need to do first is to update the main WPML plugin.

To do that, go to your site via FTP into the wp-content/plugins directory and make sure that you rename the "sitepress-multilingual-cms" folder into "sitepress-multilingual-cms2" or delete it (only after you created a full website backup) and then add the latest plugin version via FTP following the steps here: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#first-install

If you see an error like this user is experiencing here ("Destination folder already exists"):
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/error-update-3/

If that's the case, you can follow the steps I mentioned in the ticket link above.

Please let me know how that goes

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
