Hi,

Im using RankMath and wplml to manage my bilingual website hidden link
for Spanish hidden link - for English hidden link

when checking the sitemaps that Rankmath generates I don't get a separate sitemaps for different languages.

all my content in English are in the same sitemap with the Spanish. for best SEO practice I need separate sitemaps for all my languages. Kindly guide me on how could I get them without using a different domain . Thank you.

and please could you tell me is the hreflang" are working properly? Thank you!

Hi there.

You can get different sitemaps only if you use the "different domain per language" option:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-wordpress-seo-with-wpml/#translate-sitemaps

If you don't use that option (and from what I understand, you don't), things are working a little differently so I can confirm that what you are experiencing is the expected behavior.

WPML puts in "hreflang" tags into each page automatically so a new sitemap link for each language is not needed. That is why you don't have the translated links in the sitemap.

You can also see Rankmath's response here:

I hope that you will find this information helpful.

Kind regards,
