the following message pops up when I log into the admin dashboard

We have detected a problem with some tables in the database. Please contact WPML support to get this fixed.

I will be happy to help you with this.

It is safe to just dismiss that notice as it could be a one-time event due to updates and all should be fine with WPML after you close that notice. We had a similar issue before but it was handled already in the current version.

❌ Before doing that please backup your database and website for safety. ❌

In the case where you can’t dismiss this notice, you can solve it by removing the empty value from your database table "wp_icl_strings" using database tools like PHPMyAdmin (or similar) or you can simply remove the entry from inside WPML > String Translation.

What is practically happening is that the system is trying to insert a value when one already exists in another language tag.

Hey Mihai,

thank you for your feedback.

I have two more problems.

1) If I use the Language Switch on the start page, it does not change the language, but it works on all other pages. Can you tell me why?

2) The Services page has been translated, but it doesn't show the complete translation, only a small part of it. Also in the translation menu of the page not all parts for translation are shown to me. Where is the error?

Regarding this new issues, there are multiple things that could cause them.

I recommend using links and screenshots as it might help us understand better what exact links you are referring to and what are you seeing on the screen.

However, we try to keep each support ticket related to only one issue.

If the original issue is resolved may I kindly ask you to please mark this one as solved and open a new ticket for your additional questions?
