I am trying to: activate ML CMS (sitepress-multilingual-cms)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: The WP Backend plugins folder to activate the other addon

Instead, I got: a message: Die Website hat technische Schwierigkeiten. Bitte prüfe das E-Mail-Postfach des Website-Administrators, um dort weitere Anweisungen zu finden. thats translated: The site has technical difficulties. Please check the website administrator's e-mail inbox for further instructions. but i don’t get messages.

Hi,

I would like to run some troubleshooting steps in the site. Could you confirm that you have a full backup of the site in case we need to restore it?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi,

I connected to the site via FTP and I didn't see the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin in te site (within 2019 folder), so I started to uploaded the folder of the plugin but now the connection via FTP is failing.

Could you manually upload the plugin's files and let me know when it's finished?

Regards,
Carlos

Yes, I was trying to upload the plugin again but now I can't connect to the site via FTP. Are you able to connect to the site via FTP?

Hi,

Thanks for the new server name, it worked 🙂

I'm fixing the files and folders permission and if the issue persists I will download a copy of the site and check if the issue persists on local.

So far everything seems to point to the environment where the site is hosted, however I need to finish some tests to gather more information.

I will get back to you as soon as I have an answer.
Regards,
Carlos

Hi,
Thank you very much for your patience.

The cause of the issue was an error like the one described in this ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wpml-is-throwing-an-fatal-error/#post-1372939

I already removed the rows containing the IDs in the translations table and WPML plugins are activated in the site.

Could you confirm that the issue is solved?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carolos, i now have the problem that i cant change the config of the translation manager f.e. to add other languages or change the url. it says that "youre not allowed to view the page" - Du bist leider nicht berechtigt, auf diese Seite zuzugreifen.
