Our Arabic website uses a lot of string translations and it is slow, hidden link .

I have no clue as to where to start. Can someone from your side help us please with new version of String Translation, which will eliminate database queries and reduce CPU load.

I am sorry but I could not attend to this project as I had other pending projects. Can we pause this issue for now and reactivate it when I am ready to address it?

Hello, my name is Alejandro.

Since Mihai currently has a few days off, I will replace him here in the forum.
I hope this is OK with you.

With this next answer, i'll delay the time before the automatic ticket closing to 14 days, you'll get a message when the ticket is about to close so please answer then, in order to get more days or to address the issue.

In the meantime i will leave you with 2 options

1) Install the beta version of WPML, String Translations and Translation Management:
This is done by going to https://wpml.org/account/downloads/ and then by clicking the blue "i" icon you'll find in there.

The beta version is focused on performance and has a different way of registering strings which now has zero impact on the database and at least a 30% better performance.

2) Follow the steps on this ticket to erase all non-translated strings and improve your performance:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-to-find-delete-waiting-for-translations-strings/#post-1244576 (all the "define" functions mentioned in here, need to be added in the wp-config.php file of your WordPress installation )

and then this one: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-to-find-delete-waiting-for-translations-strings/#post-1252791

Please remember to make a database backup before you start with any of these 2 options.

Let me know how it goes and i'm looking forward to hearing from you as soon as you're available again.
