I am trying to:

URL of (my) website where problem appears: hidden link

I expected to see: widget translated in german

Instead, I got: widget in english

Steps to duplicate the issue:
Dear Sirs,
I followed the steps shown in to translate the content of "About" widget. I translated it in German but on the page - switching to German - there is still the content in English. The titles are translated, but the text is not shown translated.

Hello Thomas,
I'm not sure which widget is "About" - is it coming from theme or plugin?

You can use widget named "Multilingual Text", should do same thing.
Please let me know if it helps.

Ther is a widget "About machinist" and there is a content (you see it on hidden link). And this content hasn't been translated by WPML although I uses the string translation (see German version).

Hi Thomas,
is widget content string registered at all?
Is there a chance to use Multilingual Text widget instead?

As you see it's a widget. And I have translated it via String-Translation.

Hi Thomas,
I see widget as translated here:

Is issue visible on some other page?

strangely enough: hidden link. Now it works. I do not know why and how. But now the translation is depicted.... 3 days: no translation, day 4 translated without doing anything...
Problem solved - howsoever..
