Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure a successful checkout experience on my WooCommerce site. When a user is not logged in and adds a product to the cart, they encounter an issue during checkout. I have already tried troubleshooting steps, including deactivating plugins, reverting to the standard theme, and contacting my hosting provider and WooCommerce support. The issue persists despite these efforts. We are in the middle of a campaign and losing customers due to this problem. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
After a user adds a product and moves to the checkout page, they receive the error message 'Sorry, your session has expired. Return to shop' or encounter an empty cart error. This occurs right after the user selects the province.
Questions:
What could be causing the session expiration or empty cart error during checkout?
Are there any specific settings in WPML that might affect WooCommerce checkout sessions?
Welcome to WPML support. Would you please tell us what trigger made you think this was related to WPML in the first place?
I would check if the issue persists when WPML and WPML related plugins are deactivated. If so then it is not related to WPML as the code does not run on that scenario.
Thanks.
