Dear WPML Support,
We are using WordPress 5.1.1 with Woocommerce 3.5.7 our issue is that we are not able to translate the Woocommerce "My Account" Page. We are using a custom theme.
Steps we've taken so far:
1) WPML->Themes & Plugin localization and check the "Translate the theme and plugins using WPML's String Translation" checkbox
Scan the Theme again.
Still the Menu wont show up in the string translation.

Kind regards,

Tibor

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Actually the My Account feature of WooCommerce is a page you should translate and then add to your translated menu, here are the detailed steps:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual click to make all the WooCommerce pages available in all the languages, then translate their titles. See: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#store-pages

2 - No you should be able to insert the translated My Account page for your translated menu from your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus settings. See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/.

Please, let me know if it helps. Have a nice day.

Hello,
unfortunately the mentioned menu does not show up in WPML-WP Menus Sync.
A screenshot of the menu is attached, we can also provide credentials if you need to have a closer look at this, the site is in maintenance mode at the moment so its not possible to view it without an account.

regards

Tibor

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. I took a closer look in your website using the migrated copy, some additional plugins are placing some extra strings to the WooCommerce My Account page, as they still don't have translations they appear in english even on the dutch pages, here are the steps you should follow.

1 - Go to your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation.

2 - Locate the untranslated strings under the 'user-registration' and 'woocommerce-subscriptions' they are the text domain of the 'Easy Registration Forms' and the 'WooCommerce Subscriptions' plugins respectively.

3 - As regarding to the page title translation, it will only works in your current theme if you install the https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ plugin. Here the reason is some limitation in your theme not related to a WPML bug or something like that.

Please, let me know if it helps, have a nice day.

Hello,

I tried the solution and was able to translate at least the subscription menu point.
I was not able to find "Addresses" and "Wishlist" as well as "Accout Details".
"Here the reason is some limitation in your theme not related to a WPML bug or something like that."
Could you explai those limitations to us? We would like to show them to our developer so he can adapt the theme accordingly.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. After a bit more detailed investigation, I noticed the cause of the issue is your 'Easy Registration Forms', it is overwriting the WooCommerce strings for your My Account dashboard page, even if WPML is not activated. I run a test with only WooCommerce and Easy Registration Forms activated using the default WordPress theme activated and indeed this plugin is the source of your issues as you can see at: hidden link.

Once 'Easy Registration Forms' is deactivated you will see the strings appear properly in german. Also some other extra strings such as 'Wishlist' is coming from your theme, once a default WordPress theme is used this strings is not visible (see attached screenshots). Please, contact both your theme author and the 'Easy Registration Forms' plugin author in order to learn more on how to fixes these issues. Have a nice day.
