I'm using Wooslider Products Slideshow in combination with Wooslider to display products on my homepage.

It works fine in German.

In the translated English version, however, when I try to insert the slider via "add media", it shows me the German categories instead of the English categories to select.

At one point, I had a selection of English categories, but it only showed me an empty frame.

What I've tried so far:

- de-activate and re-activate the plugins
- "set languages" on the troubleshooting page

To no avail.

Categories are all translated and mapped.

Can you help?

Thank you!

Hello Irene,

This sounds like a "plugin/WPML incompatibility". WPML and Woocommerce are working nicely together but sometimes there are problems with add-on plugins.

In order to say more, could you provide us with credentials for your website and we have a closer look?
I will sent you an email with more details in a minute. Thanks in advance!

Hello Irene,

Thanks for the login info!
We are checking right now, but must admit I have my difficulties.

Just to make sure that I'm not looking at the wrong spot, in case you like to add a new "product slide" under which WP admin menu point would you do it?

Hi Andreas,
thanks for getting back to me. The WooSlider is the one in the image attached.

However, if you want to use it as a products slider, you just go inside Startseite / Homepage (en) and insert it there.
The woo slider is inserted from the Insert Media menu. (see second screenshot).

Please make sure you're in the right backend: (not

Hello Irene,

Thanks for the feedback - good that I asked 🙂

Could you try this:
> go to hidden link
> and adjust the shortcode to:

[wooslider category="rolex-parts,vintage-watches" slider_type="products" layout="text-right" overlay="none" id="start" link_title_to_product="true"]

Basically, different id="". Instead of "Home" - "start".

Does the slider appear then?

Hi Andreas,

thanks a bunch!

Didn't work with the code, but changing the id="" put me on the right track.

- I created a new slide under "Add slides" instead of going through the Add media screen directly in the home page
- then took that shortcode and inserted it in the English home page!

Thanks again for your help, saved me a few grey hairs!
