I am trying to:
Install the wpml plugin
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
In attachement you can see which queries are slowing down, these are executed after each click. I don't think they need to be?
I expected to see:
No slowdowns
Instead, I got:
Each click in the wordpress backend being slowed down 3 to 4 times

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.

Can you check this ticket?
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/database-error-deadlock-found-database-error-lock-wait-timeout-exceeded/#post-3166030

Can you perhaps check with your hosting company if they are picking anything inside their server logs, such as memory overflow problems or similar?

Regards,
Bruno Kos

There are no performance degradations hardware wise. I've found the article you refer before I asked the question here. Provided options didn't work eg memory limit increase, maxvars
