This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client experienced performance issues with their webshop when using WPML and WCML's currency switcher. They are considering using a lightweight currency switcher, specifically Curcy Pro (paid version), and need to know if it is compatible with WPML without causing performance degradation.
Solution:
We recommend contacting Curcy's support service to confirm if their plugin is compatible with WPML. Additionally, you can refer to a related issue discussed in our forums: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/after-changing-to-other-currency-cant-change-back-to-default-currency-usd/ which was resolved by LiteSpeed developers.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

I had a webshop using WPML and WCML, but your currency switcher droped extremely the performance of the website. So for a new webshop I'd like to use a lightweight currency switcher (need only USD and EUR). Some comforts of WCML I could adjust or program on my own (strings, e-mail, checkout-points). Does your team already have tested this combination of plugins?
I would like to avoid to create a lot of bload for many users only due a currency switcher. I would use the paid version of Curcy, not the free one.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

The only information related to Curcy I have found is this ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/after-changing-to-other-currency-cant-change-back-to-default-currency-usd/ which is about an issue related to a cookie that was solved by the LiteSpeed developers.

I recommend you contact the Curcy support service and ask them if their plugin is compatible with WPML.

Best regards,
Carlos
