Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I would like to ask you to activate the debug mode in the site by following the steps described in this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
Then repeat the import process and share the last 10 lines of the content of the debug.log file that is within wp-content folder.

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi! Thank you for your reply. I enabled the debugging settings, namely these:
// Enable WP_DEBUG mode
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
// Disable display of errors and warnings
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
// Use dev versions of core JS and CSS files (only needed if you are modifying these core files)
define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

And tried to run the import again, but it didn't produce a debug.log file in wp-content folder.

I checked the apache error log it didn't produce a relevant log there either

Hi,
Thank you very much for your feedback.

I suspect that this issue might be caused by a Javascript error. I would like to ask you to follow this steps in order to isolate the cause of the issue:
- Back up your site first before making any change, this is for security reasons.
- Update all outdated plugins and themes.
- Flush all cache memory.
- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML or the import plugins.
- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Seventeen.
- Try to run the import again, if the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue.

Could you tell me the result of this steps?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi!
Thank you for your reply.
I followed these steps but the problem is still present.
I deactivated every plugin except woocommerce, wp all import and the wpml plugins.
I set the theme for twenty seventeen and I deleted cached data.

The WP_DEBUG_LOG still didn't produce any error log, and there isn't a relevant error log in the apache error log either.

What else could be the problem?

Hi,

With this information I can't say where the issue is.

Could you create a test site with a copy of the live site where I can run some tests to try to isolate the cause of the issue?

Regards,
Carlos
