Our core developers are still working on this issue. As it is happening in a core file, they need to evaluate the impact of any possible solution before implementing it. I am afraid this may take a few weeks.

I'll get back to you once we have more insights.

Still having this issue here.

A 404 check of my website is bleeding red in errors because of this issue. We have a website with multiple languages and this is simply not acceptable.

This bug was first mentioned back in November 2018 ( https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wrong-oembed-links-404-on-homepage-translations/ ) - how's it going with the fix?

Hello, I also have the WP JSON Oembed with 404 errors. SEO optimization results in several hundred 404 errors on the website. After checking all the plugins, I found that WPML and Events-Calendar are causing these errors. When switching off one of the two plugins, the error does not occur, only when both plugins work together. However, I cannot do without any.
