Hi Andrés,
I have now managed to fix almost all problems on my woocommerce site. Now I have moved the wp site to another domain (on the same server) and the problems start again!! I found out that when I deactivate wpml-string-translation, the site is fast and I can log in the admin without problems. But when wpml-string-translation is active, I have 500-error and can't login to the admin. I already had the last beta and today updated to the last plugin version (2.4.2.1). But no success. I think there are some problems with this plugin... Can you investigate it?? Thanks.

Hello Marc!

Welcome back again!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! However, from the WPML debug information your package is not updated (your version is 3.5.3, while the latest is 3.5.3). Could you please check that your versions match the versions from our download page?
https://wpml.org/account/downloads/

Also, let's check if there is any error. It would be good if you can provide me the WordPress debug.log (not WPML debug informations). Please check this page for instructions
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

To enable it, open your wp-config.php file and look for define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);. Change it to:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

In this case the errors will be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/directory.

If you can paste your debug.log to pastebin.com and provide me that link it would be great! (This is the cleanest way, because sometimes the logs are long and create a complete mess in discussion).

Regards,
Andrés

Hi Andrés,

>>>> (your version is 3.5.3, while the latest is 3.5.3<<<<

this sounds good to me. 😉

Jokes apart, I have deleted ALL wpml plugins and installed all again with newest downloads from wpml site. Still no success and still problems. I have enabled the wp debug log, but I think it's wise to wait a bit until I send it, so we have some errors in it. 😉

regards, marc

I'm so sorry, Marc, I meant WPML 3.5.3.1 🙂
Did you obtain any information from the WP debug?

Regards!

Hello Marc,

From your debug information, there is a repetitive error regarding the WPML switcher but I can't say if it is related to your performance issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your test site to take a better look at the issue. Could you please indicate me how to replicate this behaviour?

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok for you.

*Important: Be sure to backup your site and database first before you proceed!
You can use a plugin for this if you like. You can use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose.
