There was a glitch in our first update that was fixed 30 minutes after we released WPML 3.7, but since it takes time for all systems to sync some of you are having issues with:

* Updating the new add-ons for WPML 3.7
* Key registrations for sites (new or already registered ones)

In order to fix these issues you should manually update WPML on your site, following these steps:

1. Backup your database – see for example

2. Deactivate the existing WPML plugin and add-ons.

3. Delete the plugin files – this does not delete your translations. You will simply delete the plugin files from you "wp-content/plugins" folder NOT the database records.

4. Download the updated plugins from and upload them to the plugin directory.

5. Activate the WPML plugin and add-ons.

If you see this does not help, please leave a comment here.

Thanks & sorry for this!

If I wait to update until all systems sync, the issue will dissapear and I would be able to update as usual?

If I wait for, say 24 hours, will I be able to download the correct version? Or I may still need to do the manual updated?

if you'll do that now it should be resolved already.

I followed your instructions, but there are still problems. I keep getting a message that I should register (which I already have done weeks ago), and then I get an almost empty screen with the message "No repositories defined." (see screenshots). The plugin seems to be working, but the problem is that automatic updates will not work. Problems began yesterday after updating the media plugin.

I will wait for further instruction - thanks!

For me, this didn't work 🙁 The same issue: No repositories defined.

Same here, followed the instructions. Error remains, same as the people above me.

I have the same issue. How / when will this be resolved?

I know this may sound stupid but I'd rather ask before I create a mess.
Is there a particular order for updating these plugins:
WPML Media
WPML Multilingual CMS
WPML String Translation
WPML Translation Management

I tried to update the first one and it is saying
Update Failed: undefined
» WPML Translation Management cannot update because your site's registration is not valid. Please register WPML again for this site first.

I re-registered and now I got this
Update Failed: Network Error Network Error (tcp_error) A communication error occurred: "" The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. For assistance, contact your network support team.

Thanks, everyone, does any of you still have the one of the issues reported above?
