WPML does not display SEO ultimate meta description for translation

WPML and the SEO Ultimate plugin are not compatible. If possible consider using the Yoast SEO plugin which is compatible with WPML.

I am trying to: translate SEO ultimate Meta data through WPML.

I expected to see: SEO meta description is supposed to be shown while translating the rest of the page, but it does not show up.

It looks like you are using the SEO Ultimate plugin by SEO Design Solutions on your site.
Can you please confirm this?

If it right then we might be looking here at a compatibility issue. This plugin is not in our compatibility list here.

I'll wait for your reply.

Yes, i am using SEO Ultimate.
I take it there will not be an update to make it compatible soon?

If not, would you recommend SEO Yoast, and a way to transfer SEO data from SEO ultimate?

I can see in our internal documentation that we've been in contact with the author of this plugin to make this plugin compatible. But it was a long time ago (more than two years) and from what I can see we were waiting for the author reply. So you might be right that it probably this plugin will not be compatible soon.

I do recommend to use the Yoast SEO plugin. The Yoast Seo plugin is officially compatible with WPML. We have a bridge plugin that needs to be installed when using the Yoast SEO and WPML together. You can read our instructions about how to use WPML and the Yoast plugin here.

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with any method of transferring the SEO data from your plugin to the Yoast SEO. But I've just found this on a quick search that I've done on Google.

I hope that this can be helpful to you.
