I am trying to:
Use Global Elements like testimonials and buttons and translate them.
If i use them on normal Page it works like a charm but when i'm trying to use them inside Woocommerce Products page in part of "woocommerce-product-details__short-description" it doesn't translate. When i'm using it inside Tabs in "post-content" it works OK.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I suspect this could be a compatibility issue, in order to isolate the cause of this issue I have created a test site with a fresh new WordPress install, WPML, Woocommerce and Woocommerce Multilingual installed and setup already.

I kindly ask you to install the necessary plugins and themes and try to reproduce the issue in the test site and let me know if the issue persists.

You can access the test site by following this link: hidden link

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi there,

It seems that you forget to 'translate' the ID of the global element while translating the product. Please visit the test site again, specially the product page: hidden link

Could you confirm that the issue is solved in the test site?

Regards,
Carlos

I don't understand what you mean about translating id.
As i understand what I've seen in your manual video on youtube hidden link
I should just "translate" global element and all of his instances should translate automatically if page language is changed.

Hi,

The "woocommerce-product-details__short-description" is a post excerpt field and you are adding the translation of the global element manually in the translation editor which is not correct.

To overcome this, set this field to copy _fusion_is_global then update the global element then go to Fusion Builder -> Library and switch to the other language then get the shortcode with the translated ID.

That's the correct way to translate this global elements in products post type.

Regards,
Carlos

First, could you assist me where can i "set this field to copy _fusion_is_global".
Second, I'm translating fusion global elements exactly like in your manual video on youtube.

1) I'm adding global element
2) I'm editing global element
3) I'm using translator to translate it

Hello,

To set '_fusion_is_global' field to copy you need to go to WPML -> Settings -> Custom fields translation -> Click on 'Show system fields' -> Search the field and set it to 'Copy' -> Save the changes.

Yes, you are following the steps correctly, however as I mentioned in my previous message the "woocommerce-product-details__short-description" is a post excerpt field and you are adding the translation of the global element manually in the translation editor which is not correct in this case.

Regards,
Carlos
