If you have the message:

There is a problem with the String Translation table in your site. This problem is not causing a problem running the site right now, but can become a critical issue in the future. WPML support team knows how to fix it. Please add a message in the relevant support thread and we'll fix it for you.

Please create a new ticket in our forum.

If you have message like this one:

We have detected a problem with some tables in the database. Please contact WPML support to get this fixed.

That issue can be resolved by using the [x] button in the upper right corner of the message to close and dismiss that message.

Do you have issues dismissing that message? If you do - then you can try to remove the key "wpml_notices" from the option table(by default wp_options, where "wp_" is your database prefix).

WPML 3.8 includes major updates to the String Translation tables. As part of this, we rely on indexes that were supposed to be there already.

We learned that in some sites, these indexes are missing and cannot be created automatically because of data conflicts. We know how to fix this, but it's something that needs to be done with a lot of care.

If you got this message, please add a comment here. We'll contact you, get a backup of your site, test the migration logic and make sure that it's working for you.

Note: You might encounter a false positive where this message appears, but it is a separate issue.
You should check if you have the table "icl_strings" - e.g. "wp_icl_strings" (if your WordPress prefix is "wp_") and if you don't have that table - then you can follow the guide https://wpml.org/errata/missing-_icl_strings-_icl_string_translations-data-tables/ to re-create the missing tables.
Once the tables are re-created, you can then remove the key "wpml_string_table_ok_for_mo_import" from the option table(by default wp_opions, where "wp_" is your database prefix).

Please do note, in order to protect your data, when we send you your patched databases - we send an invite to your WPML profile e-mail for a shared folder via Dropbox.
That link is available only to that e-mail and it will not work with another e-mail.
If you need the folder to be shared to another e-mail, just add it to the official ticket here with your database.

In order to confirm and give you steps on how to fix the problem, and that there are no other issues with your database, we would need a database dump or export with the plugin "Duplicator" of your site.

I do have the same problem. Won't be able to use Duplicator as it's not compatible with my page builder.
But I can make a manual DB and files backup if that's OK.

How may I proceed?

@david and @rondap - if you have that message, it is required for us to check your site in order to verify the problem and if there is also other problems too.
For this, I would need a database export or a site dump created by the Duplicator plugin.

If you find this hard - you can just give me access to your site and FTP and I will do it.

When I get that - I will verify the problem and I can then fix it on your site, so credentials are also welcome.
