Background of the issue:
I'm using WPML with automatic translation to create an English version of my website. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
WPML is not creating the English version correctly. On the homepage, I see the error: 'There was an error in applying translation.' For some other pages, the editor opens, but the automatic translation doesn't happen, and I can't find where to edit the translation manually.

Questions:
Why is WPML not creating the English version correctly?
How can I manually edit the translation if automatic translation fails?

Hi,

For the translation where this fails, can you go to WPML > Translations > Select the jobs > Approve the translation and see if this resolves the issue?

Hello,

From what I see, there might be two possible reasons for the issue:

- you are using ACF Fields and they are not set up properly

or

- you are using a Custom Elementor Widget that needs a proper XML configuration to be translatable inside the WPML Translation Editor.

The good news is, in both cases, I can assist you and try to solve this, but I would need admin access to the site.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.

You can find the required fields below the comments section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up your website and database before granting us access.
If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and website credentials will be set to "PUBLIC." DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private reply form looks like this:
