Thomas Endres

Hi there,

I just updated WPML CMS which worked fine. d.
Updating String translation did not work from the plugin menu. Update failed
Now the strange thing is, that I get the info in admin panel that I should update the string translation but in plugins it does not show that there is an update.

Now my question. If I download the latest version of string translation from the WPML site, and delete the old version manualy and add the new one, are my translations still there afterwards?

Thank you very much
Best regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I will be glad to help with this.

Yes, your translations will remain as they are stored in the database and not in the plugin files.
Indeed if the automatic translation did not work, we advice to manually do the update.
You will need to deactivate then delete String Translation.
Upload the latest version of String Translation and activate it.

Let me know if you will still see the notice after that. Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Jamal
