Hi,

I have client request to change theme folder name.

After a I did it, WPML is not working for theme translation, probably because text domain is different.

Can you please help me how to overcome this.

I am very thankful that you are considering my problem.

Hi,

Welcome to WPML Support forum.

Have you tried scanning your theme for strings at WPML > WPML > Theme and plugins localization?

On WPML > Theme and plugins localization > Localization options, please select 'Translate themes and plugins using WPML's String Translation only (don't load .mo files)'

Then, under Strings in the themes section, select your theme.
-click 'Scan selected themes for strings'
-go to WPML > String Translation
-find and translate the string. check 'translation is complete' . click 'save'

If the issue still persists, please try the following steps:

-Go to WPML>>Support page
-Click on Troubleshooting link (link in the middle of the page)
-In Troubleshooting page, please click on the following options of 'Clean up' section. Wait for confirmation of processing after each one.
- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Set language information
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Fix terms count
- Fix post type assignment
-Recreate ST DB cache tables
-re-scan your theme for strings at WPML > Theme and plugins localization
