Hello,

I have a problem. I upgaded my wp for 3.9.1. and now my WPML is not working. After the installation, when I turning on the plugin all my website is crashing. I by the WPML plugin yesterday, so I have the latest version. How can I solving this problem?

Does the problem still occur with the default theme chosen and the non-WPML plugins deactivated?

Please see also: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/. Let me know if there are any errors.

Meanwhile, you could try to edit your wp-config.php file (in the WordPress root folder) and add the line:

define( 'CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );

Hello Joanna,

I have an elegantthemes which is compatible with WPML and the plugin worked good before upgrade. I saw the http://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/ and changed the word falsh for true in the wp-config.php, and also added define( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); but the problem is still on. Maybe I did not added it to the right place?

Hello Marta,

I'm sorry that it took so long, but your case was a hard nut to crack. Fortunately, we found the source of your problems.

In WPML->Languages you had the "A different domain per language" option enabled. There, for English, you had the url like in the "Different languages in directories" option (hidden link) and that was causing the problems.
When you are using the "A different domain per language" option, you have to use different domains instead of language directories. For now, I set the English domain to hidden link. Let me know if you want to change it to something else, because it may require some changes in the database.
