Yes, when i disable WMPL, the URL's do work. So it is an WPML related problem.

Hi there,

It looks like WPML indeed is adding a 301 redirect to the URL.

>>> hidden link

> --------------------------------------------
> 301 Moved Permanently
> --------------------------------------------

Status: 301 Moved Permanently
Code: 301
Date: Mon, 05 May 2025 22:33:36 GMT
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
Connection: close
Location: hidden link
Server: cloudflare
X-Powered-By: PleskLin
X-Redirect-By: WPML
Cf-Cache-Status: DYNAMIC
CF-RAY: 93b3b34a58a19b5d-FRA
alt-svc: h3=":443"; ma=86400

Please go to Plugins -> deactivate WPML String Translation.

Let me know your results.

If that helps, re activate WPML and go to WPML->String Translation and then search for the URL , especially the 280/281 part.

Thank you for updating me! Might be hard to believe me but this is probably for the best 🙂

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,

Thank you for the access details!

I can see the issue, when I visit "vacatures" in the backend, all languages are listed under the same page which is not expected. (see screenshot -- also notice the counter next to each language at the top is 'off' )

Go to WPML->Settings->Post Types Translation and locate "vacatures", these need to be set to "Translatable only show translated items"

at the moment they are set to 'do not translate'.

Once you switch it you can now add translations to these items and to also re connect them with each other as it looks like the translation exists.

Also, how is the /gb/ added to your URL structure? I noticed a few items have that directory but a GB language is not activated and instead you are using EN if I review your URL structure in WPML->Languages->Edit languages.
