| Translating Theme My Login Slugs|
Problem:Unable to translate the page slugs used by the "Theme My Login" plugin.
Solution: Not a solution but a workaround. Theme My Login has many redirect options and filters that might interfere with WPML and it is not in our compatibility list. Even though the slugs can be translated through WPML -> String Translation, the plugin will only use the ones specified in the default language because it does not check if there are any translations for those.
One option is to use the plugin's hooks to insert the desired text via PHP and make it translatable.
Another option is to use a similar compatible plugin called Clean Login: https://wordpress.org/plugins/clean-login/ It's already in our official compatibility list (https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/) and they provide a guide for its WPML configuration: http://codection.com/clean-login-wpml-compatibility/

| Problem with translating plugin|
If you installed the wordpress admin language files for your selected languages, which is done automatically by WPML when you select the languages, this should work without any other intervention.
For this to work I used the setting in WPML Theme and Plugins Localization to "Translate themes and plugins using WPML's String Translation and always load .mo files as backup".
If you set this and scan the plugin, the strings contained in the wordpress backend for all standard login procedures are automatically assigned to the correct language.
The custom mail messages that you can include when enabling the modules can be registered in string translation by checking the admin strings screen and adding them to be string translation.
To show them there and be able to translate them, you need to configura a language configuration file. You can do that by using the name of each field and the message / mail it is intended for and creating an xml file for that.
You can either create an xml file named wpml-config.xml and save it in your active theme directory or you paste this code in the tab Custom XML Configuration in WPML > Translation Management.
This will allow the strings for be found in String Translation and you can translate them directly from there. I attach some screenshots for this.
<wpml-config> <admin-texts> <key name="theme_my_login_email"> <key name="new_user"> <key name="title"/> <key name="message"/> <key name="admin_title"/> <key name="admin_message"/> </key> <key name="retrieve_pass"> <key name="title"/> <key name="message"/> </key> <key name="reset_pass"> <key name="admin_title"/> <key name="admin_message"/> </key> <key name="user_activation"> <key name="title"/> <key name="message"/> </key> <key name="user_approval"> <key name="title"/> <key name="message"/> <key name="admin_title"/> <key name="admin_message"/> </key> <key name="user_denial"> <key name="title"/> <key name="message"/> </key> </key> </admin-texts> </wpml-config>
