Problem:
You are trying to activate WPML on your site. When using PHP 7.4, WPML works but other vital plugins do not. Switching to PHP 8.0 allows other plugins to function, but then WPML does not work and displays a large error message.
Solution:
We recommend enabling debugging to identify the specific issues with WPML on PHP 8.0. To do this, modify your site’s wp-config.php file:
1. Locate the line

define('WP_DEBUG', false);

and change it to:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);

2. To log errors to a file, add:

define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
