I am trying to:
create translations for custom Pods items and end up with them stuck in Processing Translations and then every time the page is refreshed a new ghost entry is created.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:
a regular translation for the item

Instead, I got:
no translation and instead ghost entries that keep coming back.

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

I hope you are using WPML Advanced Translation Editor for translating this Post. Please check the issue is with a new Post.

If the issue exists, please tries the following troubleshooting steps after a full site backup and make sure the issue is existing or not.

1) Go to WPML>>Support page, click on the Troubleshooting link (blue link in the middle of the page)

2) On the Troubleshooting page, please click on the following options of the *Clean up* section. Wait for confirmation of processing after each one.

- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Set language information
- Fix WPML tables collation
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Fix terms count
- Fix post type assignment
- Cleanup and optimize string tables

Hello,

Thank you for the updates and login information. Now the Team Posts is showing *Processing translation (could take a few minutes)* when I send the Team posts for translation from WPML>>Translation Management dashboard. Please check the attached images for more details.

In some cases, it will take 2-3 hours to show the correct status after the translation. So we will do more testing on this and get back to you soon. Please wait.

It's still showing the state of processing and when I refresh the page you'll see that the All & Published count increases by one each time I load this page. hidden link

Hello,

I had another round of testing and noticed the following. It sounds like a compatibility bug. Therefore as part of our escalation procedure reproduced the issue in a fresh installation on the Sandbox server and escalated it to our compatibility team for further debugging now. We will get back to you as early as possible. Please wait.

1) The ghost entries will be visible in the default language after we deactivate & reactivate WPML or click on Set language information option from WPML>>Support>>Troubleshooting

2) The translation of these Posts will work fine when we use WPML Classical Translation Editor

3) The translation of these Posts will also work fine if the Posts only has Post Title

Please note, *PODS* plugin is not included on the WPML official compatibility list for the Plugins - https://wpml.org/plugin/. It does not mean that this plugin is not compatible with WPML, but our compatibility team has not tested it yet.

Hello,

Our compatibility team is still working on this issue. But we are getting the expected results in our Sandbox site and local copies while translating the Team Posts using Classical Translation Editor or also with Advanced Translation Editor when we set all Team Custom Fields as not required. Please check the attached images for more details.

So please consider it as a workaround for the time being. We will get back to you as early as possible.
