This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using Thrive Editor with WPML, which is not fully compatible, causing issues with the display of translated pages. You are considering either editing each translated page individually or switching to a compatible editor like Elementor and re-translating the content.
Solution:
If you choose to switch to a new editor like Elementor and re-save the original pages, WPML will treat this as creating new content due to the different shortcodes and content blocks used by different editors. Consequently, WPML will attempt to re-translate the content, which may incur additional translation costs. If you decide to manually fix the design issues on the translated pages using Thrive Editor, any future updates to the translation might revert these pages to their previous broken state.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am using Thrive Editor, which is not 100% compatible with WPML, causing problems with rendered translated pages. I have two options: change the editor to one that is compatible, but I have approximately 1,000 pages, or edit the translated pages and improve the design of these one by one.

Symptoms:
Problems with rendered translated pages when using Thrive Editor with WPML.

Questions:
If I opt for option 2 and fix the translated page's design issues, and if I later need to update the translation, will the page go back to a broken state?
If I choose a new editor and save the original page in, for example, Elementor, with the only key change being a new editor used with content unchanged, and then rerun the translation process, will the system charge again for the content translation?

Hi there.

"will the system charge again for the content translation?"

Changing the language switcher would equal to rebuilding a new page from scratch because a new builder will use different content blocks and different shortcodes (page builders give you a nice interface to build up the page, indeed, but in the backend, each block of content that you create is made up from specific shortcodes.

So, if the structure changes, WPML will see that there's a completely new form of data, and it will attempt to re-translate again.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.
