Hi, how can we stop Translator to translate images in a different languages?
Using Advanced Translation Editor and would prefer just to duplicate Image name in original language.
If you are referring to the caption,alt text,etc of the media in pages or posts please try the following steps:
do keep in mind that this is a workaround as this is not a feature that exists at the moment to exclude the media, but this workaround should help.
1. Go to WPML->Settings->Media Translation
2. check the boxes as seen in my screenshot and click on "apply" then "Start"
3. Once it's done scroll up to Post Types Translation unlock "Media (Attachment)" and set to "not translatable"
4. Go back to your post or page make a small change and update
5. Now when you load the translation with the Advanced Editor the media title/caption/etc won't show
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)
**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.
NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.
Thank you,
Bobby
