String does not translate in front-end

I set the original text in English as 'Join the Register for free today' and used theme and plugin localization to find new strings. I then translated the string into Italian using string translation. The issue can be seen on this page: lien caché Symptoms: Despite translating the string into Italian and clearing the cache, the text 'Join the Register for free today' remains in English on the front-end, specifically in the area just above the footer. Questions: Why does the string 'Join the Register for free today' not appear in Italian on the front-end?

Background of the issue:
