Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate Elementor Floating Bars in the floating elements section using WPML

Symptoms:
I am unable to translate the Elementor Floating Bars in the floating elements section. No languages settings appears on this section.

Questions:
How can I translate Elementor Floating Bars using WPML? I want to assign a floating bar to a language, and if it not translated to other languages then do not show instead of reverting to default language. Like a default page behaviour.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML support team,

You should be able to change the translation preference of all your post types from WPML > Settings > Post types translation.

But keep in mind that its translation depends on the compatibility of these post types with WPML (is the theme/plugin you use for these floating bars compatible or not)

Change the post type preference to "Translate" and see if that makes it translatable.

Best,

Hi,

Yes i activated the option for floating bars post type to Translatable. I have now the flags so i can translate them. I have one Post for each language because i have different display conditions on each that we can't translate so i want a post for each language. I don't want to translate them i just want them to be hidden on each other language.

Before updating the translation option for these posts type, i used some CSS based on Body Href attribute to show or hide the floating bars. And after updating the translation option, i still have other languages posts appears in the DOM (as hidden), as if the translatable option is not working/hiding them since no translation is available.

My main objectif is to not show them in DOM for SEO reasons. And i think translatable option is not working with theses posts type.

Regards.

In that case, maybe changing the translation option "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language" instead would make this work,

Since you are not looking to translate it, you can use that option to default back to the original floating bar if it is translated, and if the bar is hidden, then it should be hidden also on the other languages,

Let me know if that changes anything,
