Background of the issue:
I am trying to display media that was correctly added to media translation on our French pages: hidden link

Symptoms:
Instead of seeing French media, I get the original links to English PDFs and images. A colleague mentioned it could be related to the EWWW Media translation plugin, but I optimized all images and the issue persists.

Questions:
Why are the media links not displaying the translated French versions?
Could the EWWW Media translation plugin be causing this issue despite image optimization?

I regret any inconvenience caused, but to proceed with troubleshooting, I kindly ask for a snapshot of the site. Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one myself. For this purpose, I typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you're already familiar with Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.

To guide you further, please adhere to these instructions:

1. View the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link

2. Consult WPML's instructions on providing supporters with a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

3. If the archive file exceeds 400MB, please use Duplicator's file filters to exclude cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.

Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.

Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the file link there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.

Hi,

the backup failed to be created in Duplicator, i can send you one in WP Migrate or All in one WP Migration. But please feel free to just do it yourself with your account!

Thanks for your reply. It says "out of disk space" when I try to create a copy using the All in one migration plugin. Could you check?

Looks like the issue is isolated to your Website for some reason. I'll need to escalate this further to our 2nd Tier Support and I will come back to you once I've feedback.

Have you replicated the multiple domains? In my experience this is an important factor in our setup, which WPML doesnt always handle smoothly. I can try to set up a more advanced copy with multiple domains on our server for the second tier if that helps.
