Hi,

Please try the following steps:

1. Go to WPML > String Translation
2. Use the "In domain" drop-down menu to select admin_texts_wpseo_titles
3. Find the Categories SEO title and Meta description and translate them

Kindly check this doc for more details: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wordpress-seo-with-wpml/#translate-global-seo-texts

Kind regards,
Mohamed

There is no "[wpseo_titles]metadesc-tax-category" to translate.
There is only "[wpseo_titles]title-tax-category" with default text "%%term_title%% Archives %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%"
I have different meta titles and meta descriptions that do not appear at all.

Please try this:

1- Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select Yoast plugin and scan it
2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on "the « Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end

Kindly check our guide to know more about translating texts in the admin texts screen. (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings)

Hi,

Since Mohamed currently has a few days off, I will replace him here in the forum. I hope this is OK for you.

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Sorry, but the site is live and working, we cannot deactivate plugins. I'll try to create a staging site and send you credentials.
